Microsoft Office Pro V9 provides practical training in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 browser apps. Participants learn through guided lessons, application tasks, simulations, and workplace scenarios.

Topics include document formatting, mail merge, templates, Excel formulas, charts, pivot tables, presentation design, database tables, queries, email, calendars, contacts, task management, and file sharing with OneDrive. The course also introduces Microsoft 365 features and Copilot awareness.

It includes content aligned to Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) objectives, including MOS Associate and MOS Expert objectives for Word and Excel, and MOS Associate objectives for PowerPoint.

Course Content

Microsoft Office Pro V9 covers Microsoft Office productivity skills for business, education, administration, and team support roles. The course combines short lessons, demonstrations, hands-on lab simulations, local labs in actual Office applications, Office projects, quizzes, and practice exams.

  • File navigation, browser tasks, online work practices, and shared Office features

  • Microsoft 365 browser apps, including working with Office files online

  • OneDrive file storage, sharing, syncing, and basic collaboration tasks

  • Ribbon commands, formatting tools, templates, file saving, printing, and application settings

  • Copilot and AI awareness, including appropriate use, review of AI-generated content, and responsible work practices

Microsoft Word

  • Create and format business documents, reports, flyers, letters, and forms

  • Use tables, lists, images, styles, references, page layout, and review tools

  • Build templates, run mail merge tasks, and use macros to automate repeated document actions

Microsoft Excel

  • Build and manage worksheets and workbooks for business data

  • Enter, format, sort, filter, and validate data

  • Use formulas, functions, tables, charts, pivot tables, and advanced data analysis tools

Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Create slide decks with layouts, themes, images, tables, charts, and transitions

Outlook and Access

Practice and Certification Preparation

Participants complete task-based practice across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 browser apps. The course supports preparation for the Office Pro certification and may also support MOS Associate exam preparation for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Certification & Exam

Participants who complete Microsoft Office Pro V9 can earn CompTIA CompCerts, also known as Certificates of Competency, by passing the competency assessments included in the courseware. These may cover the Comprehensive Office Competency Assessment, Word Basics, Word Advanced, Excel Basics, Excel Advanced, and PowerPoint.

The course also includes content aligned to Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) objectives for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It supports MOS Associate preparation for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with associate- and expert-level objective coverage for Word and Excel.

MOS certification requires separate Microsoft Office Specialist exams and is not awarded through the courseware assessments.
