HERMES Certification Path
HERMES is the official project-management method of Switzerland, used widely in the public sector and in IT projects. The certification path helps you understand the method in a structured way and use it with confidence in real projects.
1. HERMES Foundation This is where you start. You learn the basics of the method: project phases, roles, tasks, modules and standard project scenarios. After preparation, you take the Foundation exam. When you pass, you receive the HERMES Foundation certificate, proof that you can work in a HERMES-based project environment.
2. HERMES Advanced Based on your Foundation knowledge, you deepen your skills for project leadership roles. The Advanced exam combines theoretical questions with scenario-based tasks that test your ability to use HERMES in practice. When you pass, you receive the HERMES Advanced certificate, which is valid for five years.
3. Applying HERMES in Projects With these certificates, you work effectively in organisations that use HERMES to plan and carry out their projects. Certified professionals ensure structured processes, clear responsibilities and consistent project control.
4. HERMES Advanced: Recertification (2022) This step is for professionals who hold the Advanced certificate and want to keep it valid under the current HERMES 2022 standard. You submit proof of further training and relevant project-management experience. After approval, your certificate is extended for another five years.
Summary
