The ISTQB® Certified Tester Expert Level Implementing Test Process Improvement (CTEL-ITP-ITPI) training prepares you to implement improvements in the test process. You will learn to plan and introduce improvement measures and support their success in organizations or projects. It covers the improvement process, organizational factors, change management, and typical success factors. CTEL-ITP consists of two parts: Assessing the Test Process and Implementing Test Process Improvement. There are separate exams for both parts; both are required for the full CTEL-ITP certification. An Expert Level certificate is valid for 7 years.
What You Will Learn
According to the official syllabus (current published version), CTEL-ITP-ATP is structured into six main chapters:

Chapter 3- Analytical-based Improvement
Chapter 4- Selecting the Approach for Test Process Improvement
Chapter 5- Process for Improvement
Chapter 6- Organization, Roles and Skills
Certification & Exam
This course prepares you for the official ISTQB® Certified Tester Expert Level, Improving the Test Process, Implementing Test Process Improvement (CTEL-ITP-ITPI) exam. You do not get certified simply by attending, but after passing the expert-level exam and meeting the prerequisites. For the full CTEL-ITP certification, you also need the Assessing Test Processes (CTEL-ITP-ATP) part, as ISTQB® divides the certification into two exam parts. Prerequisites also include CTFL, CTAL-TM, at least five years of practical experience in software testing, and at least two years of experience in the field of test process improvement. Lead programs for improving the testing process within an organization or project and can identify and manage critical success factors;
Take appropriate business-driven decisions on how to approach improvement to the test process;
Assess the current status of a test process, propose step-wise improvements and show how these are linked to achieving business goals;
Set up a strategic policy for improving the testing process and implement that policy;
Analyze specific problems with the test process and propose effective solutions;
Create a test improvement plan which meets business objectives;
Develop organizationals concepts for improvement of the test process which include required roles, skills and organizational structure;
Establish a standard process for implementing improvement to the test process within an organization;
Manage the introduction of changes to the test process, including co-operation with the sponsors of improvements;
Understand and effectively manage the human issues associated with assessing the test process and implementing necessary changes.
