What You Will Learn

Chapter 2- MBT Modeling
Chapter 3- Selection Criteria for Test Case Generation
Chapter 4- MBT Test Implementation and Execution
Chapter 5- Evaluating and Deploying an MBT Approach
Certification & Exam
After you complete an accredited CT-MBT (Model-Based Tester) training, you become eligible for the official exam under the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) scheme.
To become eligible for the CT-MBT certificate you must:
Already hold the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certificate.
Attend training or self-study according to the CT-MBT syllabus v1.1 and understand model-based testing concepts, modelling techniques, test selection criteria and deployment of MBT in a test process.
Pass the CT-MBT exam, which typically consists of 40 multiple-choice questions over 60 minutes, with a passing score of 65%.
After you meet those prerequisites and pass the exam, you receive the CT-MBT certificate, confirming your specialised competence in model-based testing.
What You Will Achieve

A Model-Based Tester can
Collaborate in a model-based testing team using standard terminology and established MBT concepts, processes and techniques;
Apply and integrate model-based testing in a test process;
Effectively create and maintain MBT models using established techniques and best practices of model-based testing;
Select, create and maintain test artifacts from MBT models considering risk and value of the features tested;
Support the organization to improve its quality assurance process to be more constructive and efficient.
In general, an ISTQB® Model-Based Tester has acquired the necessary skills to successfully contribute to MBT projects in a given context.
