It not only explains the fundamentals of GenAI but also builds practical skills through real-world prompt-engineering patterns and applied testing use cases. Testers will learn how to integrate GenAI capabilities responsibly while managing key risks such as hallucinations, bias, security, privacy, and environmental impact.

Certification & Exam
This training prepares you for the exam for the ISTQB® Certified Tester, Testing with Generative AI (CT-GenAI) certification. The certification is part of the ISTQB® Specialist Level and is aimed at professionals who want to use generative AI in software testing with a solid professional foundation.
To be eligible for the exam, you must already hold the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certificate. The CT-GenAI exam contains 40 questions, has a total of 46 points, lasts 60 minutes, and requires 30 points (65%) to pass. Non-native speakers receive additional exam time according to ISTQB®.
After passing the exam, your certificate verifies knowledge of Large Language Models, prompt engineering, risks such as hallucinations and data protection, and the use of generative AI in the testing process. You can find further details on the official ISTQB® CT-GenAI page.
