This IREB® CPRE Requirements Management Specialist course prepares participants for Level 3 certification, focused on applying requirements management in real project situations. It covers structuring and attribution of requirements, evaluation and prioritization, version and change management, traceability, variant management, reporting, tool selection, and requirements work in agile and traditional processes.

Provider-led training may combine concept review, practical exercises, and assignment preparation.

After completion, participants should be ready to document their own project context for the Level 3 written assignment and manage requirement changes with stronger control over scope, time, and quality.

Certification & Exam

This course prepares participants for the IREB CPRE Requirements Management Specialist, Level 3 certification. The exam is not a timed multiple-choice test; it is a written assignment based on a realistic project situation from the candidate’s own work context. Candidates answer module-specific tasks using the CPRE Requirements Management syllabus and handbook, including reflection on methods used for requirements management.

Admission requires the CPRE Requirements Management Practitioner, Level 2 certificate.

The assignment is submitted as an unprotected PDF through an IREB-recognized certification body, must be original work, and is passed with at least 60 percent. For this module, the core paper is normally 10 to 20 A4 pages and may be written in English or German. See the official IREB Requirements Management source.
