What You Will Learn

Module 1: Server hardware installation and management
Install physical server hardware, including rack layout, cooling, safety, cabling, and power considerations.

Perform hardware maintenance with BIOS/UEFI settings, firmware updates, IP KVM, remote console access, hot-swappable drives, fans, cards, and power supplies.

Install server operating systems using GUI, core, bare metal, virtualized, remote, unattended, and image-based methods.

Certification & Exam
The CompTIA Server+ course prepares participants for the CompTIA Server+ certification exam, SK0-005. The exam validates practical server administration skills, including server hardware installation and management, administration, security, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting.
Candidates complete one exam with up to 90 multiple-choice and performance-based questions, with a 90-minute test time and a passing score of 750. CompTIA recommends CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge, plus about two years of hands-on experience in a server environment before testing.
