What You Will Learn
This training helps you build real blockchain applications. You learn core blockchain theory, implementation details and hands-on smart contract & blockchain platform development.
Part 1: Introduction to blockchain fundamentals — distributed ledger, consensus mechanisms, cryptography basics, blockchain architecture
Part 2: Data structures and blockchain internals — blocks, transactions, hashing, Merkle trees, blockchain state, block validation process
Part 3: Smart contracts — design principles, contract lifecycle, secure contract patterns, Solidity or equivalent language basics
Part 4: Decentralized applications (dApps) — front-end to blockchain integration, wallet interaction, on-chain / off-chain data handling
Part 5: Blockchain platforms & ecosystems — Ethereum, maybe other platforms, blockchain node setup, peer-to-peer networking
Part 6: Security in blockchain development — protecting against vulnerabilities, contract exploits, reentrancy, secure deployment practices
Part 7: Testing & deployment — automated testing, unit tests for smart contracts, deployment scripts, continuous integration for blockchain projects
Part 8: Advanced topics — consensus tuning, privacy (if supported), scaling, side-chains / layer-2 solutions, gas/fee optimization
Part 9: Interoperability & integration — connecting blockchain apps to web services, legacy systems, APIs, off-chain data storage
Part 10: Project work/capstone — build a full blockchain application (contract + frontend + deployment) to practise end-to-end development
Certification & Exam
After you complete the BDC training, you can register for the certification exam. The exam tests your understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contract development, blockchain security and practical blockchain engineering concepts.
The exam is a multiple-choice, knowledge-based test. You must reach the required passing score to earn the certification. The exam can be taken online through remote proctoring or at an authorised testing centre.
When you pass the exam, you receive the BDC certificate, confirming your skills in blockchain development, smart contract creation and decentralised application engineering.
What You Will Achieve
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
Understand blockchain architecture, distributed ledgers and consensus mechanisms from a developer’s perspective
Design and develop secure smart contracts and write code for blockchain platforms such as Ethereum
Build decentralised applications (dApps) and connect them to blockchain networks
Apply secure coding practices to prevent common smart-contract vulnerabilities and exploits
Test, deploy and maintain blockchain applications using professional development workflows
Integrate blockchain solutions with existing systems and manage on-chain and off-chain components
