The course combines theory with exercises, case studies, and discussions on SAFe®, Lean, Kanban, and DevOps. You will learn to facilitate team events, identify obstacles, improve flow, and support continuous improvement in the Agile Release Train. After the course, you can coach teams more effectively, strengthen collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders, and prepare for the SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master exam.
What You Will Learn
This SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master Certification course covers SAFe 6.0 practices for experienced Scrum Masters working with Agile teams and Agile Release Trains. The syllabus includes instructor-led teaching, group exercises, case discussions, and practical activities using Scrum, Kanban, XP, flow metrics, Inspect & Adapt, and responsible AI practices.
Module 1: The Advanced Scrum Master role in SAFe 6.0
Responsibilities of the Advanced Scrum Master across teams and the Agile Release Train

Using AI support responsibly for facilitation preparation, analysis, and team communication
Module 2: Improving flow with Kanban, XP, and built-in quality

Certification & Exam
Completing SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master Certification (SASM) training gives participants access to the AI-Empowered SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master exam through the Scaled Agile learning plan after course completion. The exam is web-based, closed book, and timed, with 60 multiple-choice, single-select questions and a 120-minute limit. Scaled Agile lists the current passing score as 82%. Participants who pass earn the Certified SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master credential, which confirms knowledge of team flow, cross-team collaboration, conflict handling, Inspect and Adapt, and Agile Release Train performance.
