You will gain a clear understanding of phases, roles, modules, and standard scenarios, and receive focused preparation for the HERMES Foundation exam.

Certification Process for HERMES (Foundation & Advanced)
After you learn the HERMES method (either via a 2-3 day course or self-study), you can register for the HERMES certification exam through TÜV SÜD Examination Institute.
To become eligible for HERMES Foundation certification you must:
Have basic knowledge of project management and the HERMES framework.
(Training is recommended but not strictly mandatory.)
Register and take the Foundation exam: 40 multiple-choice questions, 60 minutes.
After you pass the exam you receive a personal HERMES Foundation certificate from TÜV SÜD. The certificate has unlimited validity.
If you later aim for HERMES Advanced certification, you register for a separate exam (often after taking advanced training). The advanced exam has two parts: first, a multiple-choice section (30 questions), second, multiple-choice questions based on practical project-situations (15 questions). Each part lasts 60 minutes.
Upon passing that exam, you receive the HERMES Advanced certificate from TÜV SÜD. Certificates issued since 2020 have a validity of 5 years.
