What You Will Learn
This syllabus covers the learning objectives set by scaled Agile INC, the certifying organization, to be covered in a SAFe® training course. This includes the latest version of SAFe® 6.0 and this syllabus consists of five following parts.
Part 1- Introduction to SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager
Part 2- Preparation for PI Planning
Part 3- Leading the PI Planning
Part 4- Execution of iterations
Part 5- Execution of the PI
Certification & Exam
You must complete the SAFe POPM training before you can take the certification exam.
The exam includes 45 questions.
You must answer 33 correct to pass (73%).
After passing the exam, you receive the SAFe POPM certificate (PDF), a digital badge, and one-year access to the SAFe community platform.
What You Will Achieve
After finishing the POPM training, you will be able to:
Understand your role as Product Owner or Product Manager inside a SAFe Agile Release Train, your responsibilities, and how you fit in value streams.
Use Lean-Agile thinking to break down epics into features and stories, and manage program and team backlogs.
Prepare for and lead program increment (PI) planning: define vision, roadmap, and PI goals for your teams and program.
Plan and run iterations within teams: support execution, manage workflow (e.g. Kanban), collaborate with DevOps and deliver on user stories.
Ensure continuous delivery of value by coordinating across teams, features and releases, with focus on quality and collaboration.
