What You Will Learn
This syllabus covers the learning objectives set by scaled Agile INC, the certifying organization, to be covered in a SAFe® training course. This includes the latest version of SAFe® 6.0and this syllabus consists of five following parts.
Part 1- Introduction of Scrum to SAFe®
Part 2- Performing the role of Scrum Master
Part 3- PI planning
Part 4- Facilitate the execution of iterations
Part 5- Complete PI
Certification & Exam
After the training you become eligible to take the SSM certification exam.
The exam contains 45 questions.
You have 90 minutes to complete the exam.
To pass, you must answer at least 33 out of 45 questions correctly, which equals a 73% passing score.
On success you receive: a SAFe Scrum Master certificate (PDF), a digital badge, and one-year access to the SAFe online community/platform for extra learning and resources.
What You Will Achieve
By the end of the SSM training, participants will be able to:
Understand the role and responsibilities of a Scrum Master in a SAFe environment.
Work inside an Agile Release Train (ART) and help teams align with other teams and the overall program.
Use Agile practices like Scrum, Kanban or XP under SAFe to deliver value in short increments.
Break down features into user stories and manage team backlogs effectively.
Plan and execute iterations (sprints or kanban cycles), ensuring consistent delivery and quality.
Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and coordinate with other teams in the ART.
Contribute to continuous improvement: help team evolve, adapt and improve how they work within SAFe context.
