In the SAFe® 6.0 Scrum Master Certification (SSM), you will learn how to fulfill the role of the Scrum Master in a SAFe® environment. The course covers Scrum in the context of Agile Release Trains, PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Team Syncs, Retrospectives, and continuous improvement. You will work with practical examples, exercises, and case studies instead of just theory. After the course, you can support agile teams, make obstacles visible, promote collaboration in the ART, and prepare for the SAFe® Scrum Master exam.
What You Will Learn
This syllabus covers the learning objectives set by scaled Agile INC, the certifying organization, to be covered in a SAFe® training course. This includes the latest version of SAFe® 6.0and this syllabus consists of five following parts.
Part 1- Introduction of Scrum to SAFe®
Part 2- Performing the role of Scrum Master
Part 3- PI planning
Part 4- Facilitate the execution of iterations
Part 5- Complete PI
Certification & Exam
After completing the SAFe® 6.0 Scrum Master training, you can take the SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) certification exam. The exam is web-based, time-limited, closed book, and without external assistance. It includes 45 questions and takes 90 minutes. To pass, you need 73 percent, which means at least 33 correct answers. After passing the exam, you will receive the SAFe® Scrum Master certificate as a PDF and a digital badge. In addition, access to the SAFe Community Platform for learning content and resources is usually included for one year, depending on the current terms of Scaled Agile. Understand the role and responsibilities of a Scrum Master in a SAFe environment.
Work inside an Agile Release Train (ART) and help teams align with other teams and the overall program.
Use Agile practices like Scrum, Kanban or XP under SAFe to deliver value in short increments.
Break down features into user stories and manage team backlogs effectively.
Plan and execute iterations (sprints or kanban cycles), ensuring consistent delivery and quality.
Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and coordinate with other teams in the ART.
Contribute to continuous improvement: help team evolve, adapt and improve how they work within SAFe context.
