What You Will Learn

In our curriculum, the iSAQB has defined the following six areas of competence for the (CPSA)® Advanced Level Module FLEX:

Part 1-Why approach Flexible Systems

Part 2-Modularization of Systems of Systems

Part 3-Software Modules and the Organisation

Part 4-Integration Methods & Protocols

Part 5-Deployment & Runtime/ Platform Methods

Part 6-Service Operation Models

Certification & Exam

It awards 20 credit points in the Technical competence area and 10 credit points in the Methodical competence area.

After completing the training, the credit points count toward your eligibility for the full CPSA-A certificate.

To be eligible for the full CPSA-A certification you must:

  • Already hold the CPSA-F (Foundation Level) certificate.

  • Have at least three years of full-time professional IT experience, including participation in the design and development of at least two different IT systems.

  • Accumulate a total of at least 70 credit points across the three competence areas (Technical, Methodical, Communicative), with at least 10 credit points in each area.

Once you have met those prerequisites and collected enough points (including those from the FLEX module), you register for the CPSA-A final certification examination (assignment + oral interview with iSAQB-appointed examiners).

If you succeed in the exam, you receive the CPSA-A certificate, confirming your advanced competence in software architecture.

What You Will Achieve

The aim of the FLEX iSAQB® training is for the participants to learn how flexible Architectures are created that enable rapid deployment and feedback.

You will learn how to design medium to large IT systems methodically and soundly with us.

iSAQB® ADOC - Architecture Documentation Certification

The iSAQB® Architecture Documentation (ADOC) training is an Advanced Level module within the Certified Professional for Software Architecture (CPSA-A) program. The course shows how to document software architectures in a clear and structured way so that developers, architects, and stakeholders can understand and use them in real projects. Participants learn how to create architecture documentation that supports communication, decision making, and long term system maintenance. The training uses well known methods such as arc42 , common diagram types, and clear documentation rules that are widely used in professional software architecture work. The course also explains how good documentation helps teams share knowledge, reduce misunderstandings, and keep systems maintainable as they grow. Through practical examples and exercises, participants learn how to describe architecture decisions, structure documentation, and present complex systems in a simple and consistent way.
